  18. of stage and screen triumphs, including a Tony Award-winning
  19. turn in Neil Simon's The Prisoner of Second Avenue (1971) and
  20. Oscar-nominated appearances that cemented his relationship with
  21. moviegoers and casting directors alike: the hard-edged baseball
  22. manager in Bang the Drum Slowly (1973) and the softhearted
  23. philanderer in Moonstruck (1987).
